In 1962 Mr. Wong Wha San and certain
associates started a PCB manufacturing business in
Hong Kong with 15 employees and then in 1964 formed
Wilmet Limited which acquired the business. Wilmet
Limited prospered and became an important supplier
of single-sided printed circuit boards to local manufacturers
of radios, audio equipment, calculators and other
electronic products. |

In 1970, Mr. Wong Wha San and his family formed P&E to take
over the manufacturing of single-sided PCBs from Wilmet Limited
which became dormant.
In the following years, P&E continued to develop and diversified
into the supply of polyfoam packaging material, manufacturing
of double-sided PCBs, metal stamping and plastic injection
moldings.
Also due to the increase in sales in the United States
and Europe, representative offices were established in various
states in the US and United Kingdom. Wong's Electronics
Co. Ltd. (WEC) was also established in 1977 and specialized
in the manufacturing of products for OEM customers.
In 1983, the company was reorganized and listed in the
Hong Kong Stock Exchange as Wong's Industrial (Holdings)
Limited, which later re-domiciled to Bermuda as Wong's International
(Holdings) Limited (WIH). With a total of 3,100 employees,
WIH continues its devotion in the manufacturing of electronic
products and later set up various companies that specialize
in a mixture of different fields:
